November Geneva, Switzerland
'November' is a collaboration between soundtrack composer and 'The Young Gods' drummer Bernard Trontin and Simon Huw Jones, singer/lyricist of 'And also the trees'. They met in Geneva, Switzerland and released 'November' an album of filmic soundscapes accompanied by dreamlike narratives in 2006. A magnificent album. My first record of 'the trees' was "Shaletown" which I bought as a maxi single back in the 80ties, one of my all time favorites. Their sound became calmer since then, but it. is still the unique musical style that distinguishes them. My favorite track is the book burners, it is because I like the melody and composition. For its lyrics, I like the opening track, for its lyrics which could apply to many places and the fate of the people living there.

Well finding out that AATT had a Bandcamp I figured I'd revisit an album that even a goth-punk teen like myself found a bit uncomfortable back in the day. This might be the aural equivalent of the book Wisconsin Death Trip except more in an English Victorian style, or maybe the photographic works of Diane Arbus. As dark as the 80s could get, but I actually like this better now than back then.
